Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of entire construction process from budgeting to completion for the Company's multi-family apartment projects
• Troubleshooting habitual maintenance issues on existing properties
• Interaction with architects, vendors, city officials, licensing, permitting, etc
• Ability to handle multiple simultaneous construction projects and teams
• Detailed budgeting and reporting using spreadsheets
• Entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and job completeness

Qualifications / Minimum Skills to Apply:

Non-negotiable skills/experience (your resume will be automatically discarded if you do not    meet all 5 requirements)

• Direct leadership of several construction projects with over $1 million budgets
• Over 2 years experience DIRECTLY leading construction projects
• Experience working with City of Chicago zoning, permitting, licensing, and buildings departments
• Access to reliable automobile

Nice to have (these qualifications will help you stand out)

• Experience in large construction company (over 100 employees)
• Formal construction training and education
• Outstanding working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Expertise in larger (200+ unit) residential apartment buildings
• Experience in Chicago and in middle-income housing
• Entrepreneurial background

Compensation and Benefits:

• Depends on experience
• We are looking for someone who is willing to take a discount to their current base pay in exchange for upside opportunity with the Company both professionally and financially.
