Property Manager

Responsibilities

• Own geographic area of buildings predominantly in South and West sides of Chicago
• Show and walk-through units with prospective tenants
• Manage paperwork flow between prospective tenants and corporate office
• Follow-up on maintenance / repair requests and ensure properties stays in excellent condition
• Address tenant complaint phone calls and follow-up immediately
• Collect monthly rents on time and administer collection procedures if needed
• Successfully pass annual CHA Section 8 unit screening to ensure continued revenue
• Perform routine drive/walk by of properties at various times throughout the day/night
• Treat the units and tenants as if they were your own

Qualifications / Minimum Skills to Apply

• 2-year Associates degree highly desired
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written (test will be administered) and oral communication skills
• Willing to work very hard, be on call, and work nights and weekends when needed
• Access to reliable automobile - REQUIRED
• Criminal and credit checks will be run as this position deals with cash and potential high stress
• Military or maintenance  background a plus

Compensation and Benefits

• Base pay will start at $25-$40K annually, depending on experience.  There is also a bonus incentive plan in the works.
• Gas allowance available
