Celebrate the South Side at the 2011 Bud Billiken Parade

  |     |   News and Events

The 82nd annual Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic kicks off tomorrow morning in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. Beginning at 39th Street and South Martin Luther King Drive, the parade will continue south towards 55th Street at Washington Park, giving residents of Grand Boulevard and Washington Park apartments a great view of the festivities.

The Bud Billiken Parade is the oldest and largest African American parade in the country. Since 1929, residents of Chicago’s South Side apartments have been flocking to the parade for fun, festivities and to celebrate the politicians, businesspeople and community servants that make our South Side communities great.

If you love the culture of the South Side, come down tomorrow to celebrate the Bud Billiken parade, this Saturday, August 13th. And if you are looking for an affordable and convenient apartment in this exciting neighborhood, check out our available South Side apartments here!
